Elk Valley RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance into a stabbing in Sparwood that occurred back on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
According to RCMP, a man contacted police just after 6:00 pm that he had been stabbed in the left side of his chest.
Responding to the scene, the man was taken by the B.C. Ambulance Service to the Elk Valley Hosptial in Fernie before then being transported to Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.
“The man was treated and released the next day, as he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries,” said RCMP.
Knowing limited details about the occurrence, Elk Valley RCMP is now looking to the public.
“Elk Valley RCMP continue to investigate this incident and are seeking the public’s assistance with information that would shed light on what occurred inside the victim’s residence.”
No address was provided, other than to say the incident took place in Sparwood inside the man’s home.
