Crowsnest Pass RCMP Recover $100,000 of Stolen Property

Stolen property and drugs were both found as part of two separate search warrants completed earlier this week by Crowsnest Pass RCMP.

The first warrant was executed on a rural property on Wednesday, as RCMP recovered a John Deere skid steer, a large generator, and two large flat deck trailers.

The estimated value of the stolen items was more than $100,000.

RCMP say the items were stolen from a large area as far away as Castlegar and Coaldale, AB.

RCMP have since charged one man with possession of stolen property, but as the matter is still under investigation, they are not releasing his name.

Meanwhile, the second search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation, as RCMP searched a vehicle and found a small quantity of cocaine and various stolen items.

Charges have also been laid against one man in that case.

RCMP say both of the cases and search warranted were unrelated to one another.
