Mudslide Closes Radium Hot Springs

The Radium Hot Springs are currently closed off to the public following a mudslide.

Impacting the domestic water supply, Kootenay National Park closed the Hot Springs pools out of an abundance of caution on Monday.

Kootenay National Park says the mudslide is by McKay Creek, which is where Radium Hot Springs’ draws water for their water system, impacting all of the drinking water at the facility along with the showers and washrooms.

The mudslide is not impacting any traffic or roadways.

As of Tuesday, the Radium Hot Springs pools will remain closed.
